Property Council of Australia (PCA)
The PCA is the leading Australian body that champions the interests and concerns of its members and the property sector. Their vision is to the become an integral business ally of its members and their mission is to promote the property sector at all applicable levels and opportunities. They have two major areas of focus; Advocacy and Public Affairs; and Direct benefits to members.
With respect to Advocacy and Public Affairs the PCA seek to promote and champion members' interests in the political arena, whether it is at a Federal, State or Local level. The current major areas of focus are: tax reform; Planning and Development Strategy reform; Urban policy and economic growth; Environmental and sustainable development advocacy; Lease legislation and shop trading hours.
Members of the PCA can also derive direct benefits that meet their own needs in three key areas; Networking opportunities organised by areas of specific interest; Knowledge transfer opportunities; and Learning opportunities.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)
RICS is a global association whose members offer the very best advice on a surprisingly diverse range of land, property, construction and related environmental issues.
Their key roles are to; Regulate and promote the profession; maintain the highest education and professional standards; protect clients and consumers through a strict code of ethics; and provide impartial advice, analysis and guidance to governments and policy makers.
RICS brings together professionals from all spheres of the property sector and has a presence in 146 countries with regional offices in every continent around the world.

Asian Public Real Estate Association (APREA)
APREA is a non-profit industry association that seeks to encourage greater investment in the Asian Pacific real estate sector by providing better information to investors, improving the general operating environment, encouraging best practices and unifying and strengthening the industry.
It's mission is to; promote the real estate sector in the Asia Pacific region to domestic and foreign investors; develop a unified and powerful professional industry body; and represent the sector to governments and regulators to improve the commercial operating environment for its members.
APREA also provides education and training through the APREA Institute and has courses that provide practical and applied training to the industry.

Australian Property Institute (API)
The Australian Property Institute (API) was originally formed in 1926 as the Commonwealth Institute of Valuers. Today the API represents the interests of more than 7,500 property professionals throughout Australia. API members include residential, commercial and plant and machinery valuers, property advisers, property analysts, property fund and asset managers, property facility managers, property lawyers, and property researchers and academics.
The Institute’s primary role is to set and maintain the highest standards of professional practice, education, ethics and professional conduct for it members and the broader property profession. The Institute is committed to building and maintaining a strong base for the future of the property profession through broadening the expertise and knowledge of membership.
Members of the Institute are bound by: A Code of Ethics; Rules of Conduct; and Professional Practice Standards.

Green Building Council Australia (GBCA)
The GBCA was launched in 2002 and operates on a national level. A not-for-profit organisation, it's primary committment is to encourage the adoption of green building practices in the Australian property industry. Both industry and governments across the country support the GBCA.
Their mission is: to develop a sustainable property industry for Australia and drive the adoption of the green building practices through market-based solutions.
Its key objectives are to drive the transition of the Australian property industry towards sustainability by promoting green building programs, technologies, design practices and operations as well as the integration of green building initiatives into mainstram design, construction and operation of buildings.

The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI)
FIABCI is a business club of real estate professionals; a federation of 100 national real estate associations representing 1.5 million professionals; and a special consultant with NGO status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.
FIABCI represents all property and real estate disciplines, including brokerage, property management, valuations, appraisals, development, consultation and urban planning, and across all asset classes. They are represented globally by chapters in 48 countries and have real estate professionals based in 60 countries.
As a non political entity FIABCI helps their members add an international dimension to their businesses, acquire knowledge, develop networks and optimise business opportunities all over the world.

European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA)
EPRA is the European body which serves European public real estate companies with effective and continuous leadership in matters of common interest. Their mission is to promote, develop and represent the european public real estate sector.
EPRA works with both members and the appropriate governmental and regulatory bodies to raise and discuss matters of interest and concern which impact the industry. EPRA develops policies concerning standards of reporting disclosure, ethics and industry practices and EPRA sponsors and publishes research and analysis for the benefit of its members.
EPRA currently has 220 members across 23 countries.

National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT)
NAREIT is the worldwide representative voice for Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs) and publicly traded real estate companies with an interest in U.S. real estate and capital markets.
NAREIT provides numerous programs, publications and services to its members as well as to nonmembers. It also provides representation before policy makers, a voice for the publicly traded real estate industry and access to the latest industry research.
The membership of NAREIT is made up of REITs and other businesses that own, operate and finance income producing real estate and property. Firms and individuals who advise, study and service those businesses are also members. NAREIT's membership is world wide and currently has over 2000 members.
